Cathy Stocker
Cathy has a Fine Art degree from Leeds Metropolitan University. She has exhibited in London, Bristol and Leeds and was the first Artist in Residence at the Yorkshire Dance Centre where she also worked with the Phoenix Dance Company.
Cathy Stocker works in Mixed Media and Watercolour. She works from life where she creates watercolour sketches in situ from models or landscape, she then works on larger paintings from these sketches in a looser, more abstract form. This enables her to create an ambience or atmosphere of the place/person she has visited.
