The gallery is open to the public five days a week including Saturdays with staff to promote and sell your artwork. The gallery can be hired for solo shows at the cost of £250.00 a week. Two or more artists can share the cost of £250.00. A non-returnable deposit of £50.00 will be asked for when booking your show, with the remaining £200 to be paid when installing your show. All artists exhibiting will be hosted on the gallery’s web site: www.hopegallery.co.uk The gallery is composed of two rooms: The Main Gallery 18’7 X 14’, and The Back Gallery 10’11 X 10’4. The gallery is open Tuesday – Saturday 12.00 till 17.00 and by appointment. Artists are expected to invigilate at least one of these days. This will give you first hand experience of how your work is being received. Commission is taken at 30%. To avoid commission artists can invigilate the full duration of their show. All artists are welcome to host a wine evening, for example on the Tuesday evening between 18.00 and 21.00. Artist’s must organise and pay for the drinks and be responsible for the cleaning and taking back of wine glasses etc. Deliveries can be received during gallery hours. Artists are responsible for the delivery, installation and removal of their artworks, although help is available. Artist are asked to take down their artwork by noon Sunday to allow the following artist to install from 1pm on the Sunday prior to their show. Hope gallery has building and public liability insurance, this does not cover the artwork. The artist is responsible for the insurance of their artwork while in transit and in the gallery. Hope gallery is happy to send out press, listings and invites to their email mailing list if the artist provides an ‘email flyer’ 3-4 weeks before the opening of the show.
