John Crossley
Having graduated with a first class degree in 1999, John established himself as a professional artist. John concentrated on cityscapes, particularly of New York. He has exhibited work in a number of cities including Leeds, London, Dublin, Brno and Paris.
John completed an MA in Fine Art in 2002 and is currently studying for a Fine Art PhD at The University of Leeds. He also teaches on the BA course in the University of Leeds School of Fine Art.
Whilst still an undergraduate at The University of Leeds John was a member of 'The Leeds 13' group of artists who first achieved notoriety when the media widely reported their 'Going Places' project of 1998 involving a simulated holiday to Malaga.The group followed this project with 'The Degree Show' the following year and then a two month artist's residency in Paris.
