Jessica Gadsby
Jessica studied Fine Art at the University of Leeds; she graduated in 2001 with a 2:1. She also spent a year at the University of California, Berkeley where she was made an Honours student.
Since leaving Leeds Jessica has lived and worked in the East End of London. She has participated in group shows in Whitechapel and Mile End as well as exhibiting in other local venues.
Jessica’s paintings are based on the concept that the unconscious mind can be represented as a house or building. These images absorb the viewer into the unconscious by looking backwards through a mirror.
