Philip Hope
Phil is an animator and character designer working in
central London. His free time is split between a
number of creative disciplines with photography taking
the lead.
As well as receiving commissions as a freelance
photographer Phil has developed an impressive
portfolio of his own artwork in this medium. Phil's
photography explores a range of technical means and
subject matters. Working with a variety of new, old,
and hand made cameras in medium format, 35ml and
digital his itinerant works depict the notions of
motion, journey and the transient with an effortless
stylistic beauty. In both his landscapes and portraits
the relationship of life and the ephemeral are captured
in the static image.
